STEM Leaders Students

Congratulations to the first round of winners! You can be a winner too - deadline for 2nd round is 31st July 2010. It's not hard, see the winner submissions at the bottom of this page.

Be a winner with SLQ and Discover Chemistry!

Students can win cash prizes for excellence in the STEM Leaders Qualification. Awarded twice yearly at the end of July and December, students can win first prize of £500 or two runner-up prizes of £300!

Students are required to demonstrate their achievements in the SLQ by providing a resource for other students and three written references. Prizes are awarded to students for:

  • demonstrating excellent achievement in the SLQ across all areas of STEM and Leadership development
  • working on or having completed the SLQ (ages 11-16 years)
  • working on Level 2 Units of the SLQ
  • working individually or collaboratively (in teams of no more than three)
  • who have champions who will provide supporting references for their achievements, e.g. peer, teacher, parents/carers, mentors etc.
